I'm a former University of Alabama recruitment chair, sorority rush coach, and founder of Ice Water Teas.
I started Ice Water Teas as a nod to my 18-year-old self, who had no idea what college or sorority life had in store for her. Some of my favorite memories and closest friendships came from those years, and I certainly didn't expect the experience to play such a big role in my life after college!
These days, I'm living in Nashville with my husband, Sam, and our dog, Blue. Of course, we still make it back to Tuscaloosa for Bama football games whenever we can!
Now, I get to use what I've learned to help girls across the South prepare for rush, understand what to expect, and make the most of an opportunity that meant so much to me.

How it all began
From rush Chair to Mentor

The story
If you've never heard the term, Ice Water Teas was traditionally the first round of sorority recruitment, when potential new members visited every chapter for their initial introductions.
Today, those introductions are often virtual, and first impressions begin long before recruitment week. Between resumes, recommendation requests, social media, registration videos, and relationships, there's a lot to think about before you ever step foot inside a chapter.
I chose the name because I wanted to create a space for those same conversations, just a little earlier in the process. It’s a chance to sit down, ask questions, get to know one another, and talk through everything that comes with preparing for recruitment.
